Join The National Emergency Services Museum for a jivin’ weekend of vintage festivities in the unique Victorian Fire, Police and Ambulance station!
Immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas this year in true vintage style with period re-enactors, live music performances from the likes of vintage vixen Miss Marina Mae, 1940s dance sessions for children by CompanyK, storytelling, crafts, historical displays, festive food and drink and of course, Father Christmas himself!
New for 2018 is the all-new festive mini outdoor Christmas market in the cosy Christmas marquee where you can sip mulled wine and pick out those all-important unique Christmas gifts. From locally made gifts, homewares and art to vintage collectables, clothing and accessories.
Throughout the vintage festivities the museum’s three floors of interactive exhibitions, hands-on history and over 30 vintage vehicles with sounds and smells will be open for visitors to explore. Visit the all new ‘Blood, Bandages and Blue Lights’ exhibition which looks at the history of the ambulance service and medicine as well as the ‘Sheffield Blitz’ exhibition. With lots of vehicles to climb on and in, uniforms to try on and even the Fire Engine rides (additional £1pp) the weekend will be jam-packed with activities, displays and entertainment for all ages!
