The River
by Jez Butterworth
A remote cabin on the cliffs, a man and a woman.
On a moonless night in August, a man brings his new girlfriend to a remote cabin on the cliffs that he’s come to since he was a boy. She's not the first woman he’s brought here and she won’t be the last. Perhaps when we find each other, we’re just trying to recapture someone we once lost… From the playwright of the global smash hit Jerusalem and infused with beautiful poetic images, the River is a bewitching story about how the ghosts of the past shape even our most intimate moments.
_This amateur production of “The River” is by arrangement with Nick Hern Books._
