A running event with a difference. Can you complete the 5km run between Wootton and Havenstreet faster than our steam train? Whether you're a seasoned runner, a parkrun plodder, or an active family, this promises to be an event to remember.
Meet at Havenstreet station for registration, then catch the train down the line to Wootton station. The locomotive's whistle, signals the start of the race for both train and runners. The 5km route takes you through Wootton, then on a woodland trail back to Havenstreet station. Can you make it back before the train (which will steam to the end of the line at Smallbrook Junction and back)?
Entry: £15 Adults, £10 Under 18s, includes train journey and medal for all runners. Ample free parking at Havenstreet. Runners in race 1 are welcome to ride on the second train (and vice versa).
Non-running supporters can join the train: £10 Adults £5 Under 18s.
