Portsmouth BookFest returns for 2025, with a host of literary events taking place across the city. As ever there will be interactive events, workshops and appearances from top names in the literary world.
BookFest has become a favourite event in Portsmouth’s calendar and presents a wide range of events for all ages in a variety of welcoming locations across the city.
2024 saw BookFest split into two - a children's week to start proceedings (featuring a Dinosaurs event, writing workshops, Debutots and a special visit from Julia Donaldson’s favourite character, Zog) before an adults programme followed, which featured Dame Sheila Hancock, John Agard, Atilla the Stockbroker, Dr Leah Broad, Dom Joly and more.
The programme for 2025 is currently being finalised - check back here for details nearer the time.
Prices vary by event - see About section for full details.
