Step aboard and set sail into history at Portsmouth Historic Quarter's 2025 Pontoon Open Weekends at Boathouse 4!
Once a month, visitors are invited to explore the operational vessels, meet passionate volunteers and uncover the fascinating stories behind these extraordinary boats.

What to expect
The operational boats will be open for you to explore, with volunteers ready to share their knowledge.
F8 will be running 20 minute trips around the harbour, on both days, at £10 per person. Times: 1pm, 1.40pm, 2.20pm, 3pm and 3.40pm.
MGB 81 will be taking passengers out for an hour boat trip, on both days, with individual tickets available to purchase at £130 per person. Time: 3pm.
HSL 102 will be taking passengers out for an hour boat trip, on both days, with individual tickets available to purchase at £100 per person. Time: 1pm.
For all the above pre-booking your space is recommended to avoid disappointment. Email Boatbookings@portsmouthhq.org or book on the day with a Visitor Host.
Plus, you can step aboard 1940's steam boat VIC 56 and explore with a knowledgeable volunteer guide. Friendly volunteers will be on hand to assist and answer any questions. Entry is free with a 'Historic Quarter Pass' (available at the Visitor Centre). This pass grants access to the Dockyard site, excluding ticketed attractions.
