The 40th Manifold Valley Agricultural Show will take place on Saturday 10th August, situated in a beautiful location, close to Dovedale, on the Staffordshire / Derbyshire borders, at The Arbour, Ilam, near Ashbourne.
This traditional agricultural event will have sheep and cattle, shire horses, show jumping, terrier and lurcher shows, rare breeds, dogs, pets for the younger generations, and a very large display of poultry put on by the Henmore Club.
There will also be a large display of rural vintage machinery and tractors including the Slow Tractor Race, plus arts, handicrafts and produce from local people.
Main ring events are all countryside orientated, including regular events such as "Chase me Charlie" (horse jumping), Carrigae Driving, Hounds, Lurcher Show, Working Dogs, and Terrier Racing.
There will be trade stands, refreshment facilities, and a bar, and is suitable for the whole family.
