Kynren returns for the 5th year every Saturday from 1 August - 12 September 2020. The outdoor theatre extravaganza has even more to offer in 2020 with a new show, new attractions and new dining. This family-friendly event is a feast for all the senses and a brilliant way to enjoy the long summer evenings in the North East.
From daylight to starlight watch legends come to life in Kynren, a thrilling tale told on an epic scale - 2,000 years in the making. Unique in the UK, this world-class performance takes place on a 7.5-acre outdoor stage and is set against the magnificent backdrop of Auckland Castle in County Durham.
Join young Arthur on his spellbinding journey through time in his quest to discover the ‘story of us’. Be swept along by this award-winning, family-friendly tale of invasions, royal splendour, wars, heroic sacrifice, daily life and seismic change. Dazzling pyrotechnics, beautiful choreography, amazing stunts and hard-to-believe horsemanship combine with an inspired, original soundtrack leaves audiences enraptured and awestruck.
