A hot air balloon ride over Cheltenham is a fantastic experience, giving you the chance to see the world from a completely different perspective than on foot or by car. Launching from Cheltenham Racecourse, your balloon ride experience will start with the opportunity to help prepare the balloon for flight before taking to the skies.
As you drift through the skies, all is calm and peaceful (apart from the burners!) where you'll enjoy gorgeous views and take plenty of photos. Because you move with the wind, you won't feel a breeze, making it a truly magical experience. You may spot Sudeley Castle or the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean. To the south west lies the cathedral city of Gloucester, overlooked by the Cotswold Hills in the lush Severn Valley, while the medieval gem of Tewkesbury with its famous timer-framed buildings lies to the north.
You'll be in the air for around an hour before landing. You'll then have the chance to help deflate the balloon (always a lot of fun!) before joining your fellow passengers for a prosecco toast to round off the experience in style. You'll be transported back to the launch site and back to your cars.
A Cheltenham balloon ride is an amazing experience not to be missed and makes the perfect gift for a loved one.
Please note that the address given here is for the launch site only and is not where you purchase flight vouchers from. Balloon flight vouchers are available to purchase on their website. Morning and evening flights are available throughout the ballooning season of March to October, on weekdays and weekends.
Please be aware that ballooning is a weather dependent activity so your flight may be cancelled if the weather conditions are not suitable for flying. If this was to happen, you'll be able to rebook your vouchers onto another flight.
