Sunday 10 National Justice Museum | Crime Club: Join their Head Interpreter in full costume and character for a 30-minute, mini-Crime Club on Bonington's unusual journey from gaoler to painter, and how this may have inspired his son to become a famous artist.

A fun day for all to find out about the history of Wollaton Hall's amazing kitchen garden, discover what was grown and how the garden looked and was run in its heyday over 100 years ago. Meet the fantastic volunteers restoring its heritage.

Wednesday 13 | National Justice MuseumAn Archaeological Exploration of the City of Caves.

Wednesday 13 - Sunday 17 | Green’s Windmill and Science Centre | Visit a restored 19th Century tower mill, once home to mathematical physicist George Green. Climb to the top of the windmill and see how the sails turn grain into flour and see a special exhibition detailing the mill's history with hidden gems and rarely seen archive files on display.

Sunday 15 I Framework Knitters Museum I This year as part of Heritage Open Days, the Framework Knitters Museum are offering free drop-in Cyanotype sessions at the museum.  You can join in anytime between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday 15th September to take part in this fun, hands-on activity. Learn how to use this simple alternative photographic process to beautifully capture all manner of textures, textiles and patterns onto paper. No advance booking necessary or previous experience required. 

Saturday 16 |  ​​Newark Civil War Centre | Creativity Unwrapped at the National Civil War Centre - Explore art resident Samantha Jayne and her VR irtual world, wearing a virtual reality headset, and have a go at creating your own artwork inspired by the museum.
