Henley Living Advent Calendar

The Henley Living Advent runs every evening from Dec 1st to 24th. Like a children’s Advent Calendar, a different window or door is opened at 6:15pm promptly each evening and a 30 minute performance is given to the audience assembled. This can include songs, carols, music, poetry, book excerpts, notes from local history or folklore, sketches, dance etc, all with a Christmas or winter focus to them.

Everyone can look forward to free ‘winter warmers’ every evening, whether mulled wine, bubbly, mince pies, sausage rolls or turkey tidbits. There are over 100 local schools, businesses, churches, local government reps, community groups and charities as well as 24 sets of performers.

The events are launched on December 1st at Henley Town Hall and finish on December 24th at Saint Mary’s Church.

See the website for more details of this year's venues, but highlights include screening of the finalists of the Film Competition at the Regal Picturehouse cinema on December 10th. December 4th at Mill Meadows is also 'bring your dog night' with festive treats for canine members of the audience, as well as their owners.
