THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE AGATHA CHRISTIE FESTIVAL
Included in Torre Abbey entrance price
Cover artist Tom Adams created numerous iconic Agatha Christie book covers, mostly in the 1960s, '70s and '80s but also as recently as the 2010s. Thanks to the generosity of Georgie Adams, Tom’s widow, and her family as well as David Morris, visitors will be able to see some of Tom Adams’ original artwork, objects featuring on his iconic covers, and some never-before-seen material showing how Tom’s artistic processes brought these covers to life. The exhibition will enable local schoolchildren and students not only to learn about Tom’s work but also to engage with, and be inspired by, his artistic processes.
Many of the exhibits have never been available to the public before and likely will not be again. Therefore, this is a very special opportunity to view not only some of the original artwork of Tom Adams’ iconic covers but learn about the stories behind Tom’s creativity.
