Georgie Malcolm - Coffee Concerts

Friday lunchtime recitals by students from Manchester's internationally renowned Royal Northern College of Music.

Georgie is soon to complete her postgraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she has studied with both Elizabeth Ritchie and Susan Roper. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh in English Literature and French, she previously spent two years working in publishing in Oxford, whilst enjoying a busy schedule of singing engagements on the side as both a soloist and ensemble singer.

On the operatic stage, Georgie sang La Contessa Di Almaviva in the RNCM's production of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro earlier this year, and recently appeared as an emergency cover (Aunt Norris) in Waterperry Opera's Mansfield Park (Dove), having previously learnt the role at the RNCM. She will be appearing as a Young Artist at Buxton International Festival this summer, as a chorus member and cover of Cleopatra in Antonio e Cleopatra by Hasse, and in the Autumn she will be joining the chorus of Opera North for their touring production of La Traviata.
