Get ready for a brand-new festive experience at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum this Christmas. Westonbirt has partnered with the award-winning, internationally acclaimed light trail producers behind Christmas at Kew, Christmas at Bedgebury, and Christmas at Blenheim to bring a light trail never before seen at Westonbirt.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore trees from around the globe in a completely new light. The National Arboretum will be transformed into a place where new memories are made as over a million twinkling lights and seasonal sounds fill the air with festive fun.
This new trail offers everything needed for an unforgettable time with friends and family, including a magical glimpse of Father Christmas. Guests can discover luminous birds delicately balanced on branches, colorful neon trees, sparkling tunnels of light, and an arboretum filled with all the colors of the rainbow.
Seasonal snacks will be available from the Christmas village or hand-picked street food vendors offering tempting treats. The experience can be completed under the stars with a festive *spiced winter warmer, *hot chocolate, or *toasted marshmallow, perfect for sharing with someone special.

Trail Entry Time Slots
To avoid overcrowding and ensure the enjoyment of all visitors on the illuminated trail, a time slot must be selected when booking. Time slots vary depending on the date but generally take place every 15 minutes between 4:30 PM and 8:00 PM. Prompt arrival at the trail entrance for the allocated start time is required. Advanced booking is essential.

Tickets are categorized as off-peak, standard, and peak, with prices varying depending on the date and time. Off-peak tickets are generally available midweek or later in the evening, while peak pricing applies on weekends, dates close to Christmas, and earlier time slots. The price for each slot will be shown upon selecting the desired date and time.

*There is no charge for infant or personal assistant entry, but all infants and personal assistants require a ticket for entry. These must be booked in conjunction with a full-price ticket. Students must have a valid student ID at the time of booking and on the date of visit.
To book a family ticket, select 2 Adult and 2 Child tickets, and the relevant discount will be applied in the basket.
All orders are subject to a £2.50 transaction fee.
Parking
There is a charge for parking at this special event. Visitors planning to arrive by car must purchase a parking space in advance along with trail entry tickets online. Parking for Christmas at Westonbirt costs £8 per car. Accessible spaces for Blue Badge holders are available in the Welcome Building car park; parking costs apply. Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum and Forestry England Members are offered one free parking space, which must be booked in advance.

Memberships must be valid at the time of ticket purchase and on the date of visit. The membership offer is only available when booking via Forestry England and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. A valid membership card must be presented on arrival.
Relaxed Session
Relaxed sessions are available for adults and young people with additional needs who would enjoy experiencing Christmas at Westonbirt without the usual high volumes of people. For Christmas at Westonbirt 2024, these sessions will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, 30 November, Saturday, 7 December, and Thursday, 12 December.
