The Bristol Vegan Fayre returns to Document in St Jude's on Saturday April 12th with a fun packed day full of plant based goodness with some outstanding guests, performers, stallholders and the star of the show - the vast array of vegan food options on display.
'The food is terrific' state the organisers with considerable enthusiasm, 'with everything from seitan kebabs through to exotic cream cakes, with ice cream, savouries, pokes, Greek, Turkish, Italian dishes, mac and cheese, burgers and fries, and so much more - it's a tantalising selection designed to suit any taste bud and no matter where you are with plant based options, this show will surprise and delight beyond your wildest dreams when it comes to plant based food.'
It's not just the food on offer of course - the Bristol Vegan Fayre is also showcasing the fantastic brand new feature film documentary 'Food For Thought' with directors Dan Richardson and Giles Alderson in attendance for a Q & A afterwards. The show is full of top level speakers with a strong emphasis on fitness and nutrition… And 'strong' being the operative word, given the presence of genuine vegan strongmen and highly achieving athletes including…. Ex Bristol City and Forest Green Rovers footballer Simon Clist, now running his own nutrition company, and current Kettleball champion Nick Thick, from Portishead, who competes in the USA with the all- conquering Vegan Strong team.
The Bristol Vegan Fayre also sees the launch of 2 new high profile vegan projects in the UK - the Why Go Vegan Campaign, which focuses on traditional vegan education and the benefits of plant-based diets, will launch at the show in the company of esteemed actor and activist Peter Egan (of Downton Abbey fame)… along with Vegan Women's Club.
There is some top notch comedy in the form of Andrew O'Neill and the award winning Dawn Chorus, and some fabulous live performances from vegan musicians including an excellent Elton John set from Elton V. Plus a Kids area and a free gift on entry - with free entry for kids under 16.
Tickets are only £6 + fee in advance, and £8 on the gate.
