Bristol Comedy Garden, the South West’s largest comedy festival, returns to Queen Square from 4-8 June 2025 with five nights of all-star stand-up live in the Big Top plus craft beer, street eats and more.

Running for 15 glorious years, the Comedy Garden is firmly established as the Southwest’s mightiest comedy extravaganza. The annual showcase promises the absolute best names in comedy combined with quality-stocked bars and a delicious array of street-eats.

Wednesday 4 June
Co-host of the massive smash-hit podcast Off Menu and star of Great British Menu, The Traitors Uncloaked and his own global stand-up special, the mega-multi talented Ed Gamble headlines an all-star opening night in the Big Top.

Joining Ed is a huge bill featuring cult Taskmaster hero and owner of the finest moustache in the biz Mike Wozniak, comedy powerhouse Michelle de Swarte, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Ania Magliano, and Live At The Apollo star Chloe Petts as host.

Thursday 5 June
Fresh off his very own global Netflix special plus Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You and so much more, gold-tier stand-up Phil Wang headlines an immense show in the Big Top.

Joining Phil is a stellar supporting line-up with Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and Taskmaster sensation Bridget Christie, odd-ball festival favourite Rob Auton, viral phenomenon and superstar stand-up Sarah Keyworth, and the Last Leg star Maisie Adam as host. 

Friday 6 June 
Comedy Garden hero David O’Doherty returns to headline a huge Friday night in Queen Square. Star of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and his very own Along For The Ride show, don’t miss the king of tiny ebay keyboards live in the Big Top. 

Joining David is a mammoth supporting bill with cult comic/​poet and Alan Partridge star Tim Key, razor sharp Edinburgh Best Newcomer Lara Ricote, Mock The Week’s zinger-bringer Rhys James, and Taskmaster head honcho Alex Horne as host.

Saturday 7 June 
Multi-award winning comedian and writer, track-star of Live At The Apollo, Qi, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and so much more; don’t miss Sara Pascoe’s return to Bristol as she headlines an all-star Saturday in Queen Square.

Joining Sara is a mythical bill with BAFTA nominated Taskmaster sensation Lucy Beaumont, fast-rising newcomer Dane Buckley, bumbling charmster (and Taskmaster failure) Ivo Graham and master stand-up Kiri Prichard-McLean as host. 

Saturday 7 June 
Alan Davies is best known as much-lauded dunderhead on Qi, reticent crime solver Jonathan Creek and host of his very own ​‘As Yet Untitled’. Come see his virtuosic and whip-smart style as he headlines a magical show in the Big Top.

Joining Alan is a huge line-up featuring Mash Report host and Radio 4 favourite Rachel Parris, fringe-smasher Josephine Lacey, Live At The Apollo star Seann Walsh and the sublime Edinburgh Comedy Award winning Amy Gledhill as host. 

Saturday 7 June 
The ​“new king of alternative comedy” Sam Campbell headlines a huge Saturday night bill. Don’t miss the Melbourne International Comedy Outstanding Show winner, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, and Taskmaster champion/​treasure as he headlines in the Big Top.

Joining Sam is an astounding bill with Plebs and Friday Night Dinner star Tom Rosenthal, BAFTA winning Michael Odewale, Mock The Week, Royal Variety and 8 Out Of 10 Cats star Rosie Jones plus Bristol’s very own comedy superhero Jayde Adams as host.

Sunday 8 June
German comedy ambassador and Would I Lie To You favourite Henning Wehn returns to headline the Big Top. Expect a hit-packed set of teutonic jolliness from the stand-up master as he tops off an all-star line-up.

Joining Henning is an astounding bill with Wonka, Murder in Successville and King Gary star Tom Davis, Perrier Award winner and grouchy US legend Rich Hall, Bristol hero and Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Mark Watson with Live At The Apollo’s roof-raiser Sikisa as host. 

Sunday 8 June
The inimitable Frankie Boyle headlines a huge finale night at the Comedy Garden. Host of the acclaimed Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and star of his own multiple specials, don’t miss one of the country’s very-very best, live in the Big Top.

Joining Frankie is a spectacular all-star bill with Taskmaster icon Fatiha El-Ghorri, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Jin Hao Li, Live At The Apollo and Viceland star Jamali Maddix, and Mash Report star and podcast princess Catherine Bohart as host.
