Bakewell Christmas Sparkle is a FREE ENTRY event offering something for the whole family. It takes place indoors and outdoors on Sunday 28th November 2021 from 10am to 4pm at Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre (ABC).

Meet Father Christmas

Thanks to Bakewell Rotary the main man himself will be joining us. He will be sitting outside in his sleigh to meet and greet children attending the event.

Real Reindeer

Some beautiful real reindeer from Haughton Park House Farm will be outside with Father Christmas, bringing a little Christmas magic for visitors.

Children's Christmas Crafts

Chesterfield's StrightCurves will be running festive workshops enabling children to make Christmas decorations, while Bakewell AHS will be hosting Christmas card-making. Fees range from £1-£5.

Face Painting

Children's face painting will be available at a cost of £3.

Live Entertainment

Bakewell Silver Band and Peak Performance Choir will be regaling visitors with festive favourites throughout the whole day, while Bakewell's Violets & Daisies will demo Christmas centrepieces and wreaths (available to buy) and Bolsover's Just Roll With It cakes will demo cake decorating (cakes available to buy).

Local Independent Traders Food & Drink Court (Outdoors)

From booze to baked goods, we've got it all! Drinks come courtesy of Tipple Adventures and The Gin Hare, while our food offering includes hearty street food curries from Cross Scythes Catering, pizzas from Sunshine Pizza Oven, stuffed oatcakes from Cheddleton Oatcakes, fresh baked goods from Dorothy May Bakes, ice cream from Frederick's and cafe fare from Farmers Feast Cafe.

Local Independent Traders Christmas Market (Indoors)

Peruse around 40 stalls packed with everything from handmade Christmas decorations, jewellery, candles and local photography prints to plants, food, drinks, gifts, books and so much more - ideal for picking up some unique Christmas gifts made in the surrounding area. Some of our local traders include The Derbyshire Candle Company, Peak Ales, Dad's Bees, Scrumptious by Lucy, Crafty Cashmere, The Lambton Larder, Glasstopia and Hayley Bennett Jewellery.
