Afrika Eye Festival 2024 will be returning with a vibrant lineup of African cinema, arts, and culture. Known as the largest celebration of African film and culture in the South West of England, the festival will take place across various venues in Bristol. This year’s edition promises a diverse programme, spanning contemporary African films, spoken word performances, dance, music, and more, appealing to audiences of all ages.
Notable events for this year include screenings of The Woman King at the Trinity Centre and a double bill of Pam Grier classics like Coffy and Foxy Brown. There's also a Halloween-themed day at The Pickle Factory featuring supernatural African stories with films like Saloum and Wendell & Wild. Attendees can expect a mix of engaging film discussions, creative workshops, and a rich exploration of African storytelling traditions.
