The summer holidays can be a difficult time for parents, especially with the cost of living crisis, so to take the stress out of the holidays, here are the places the kids can eat, either for free or for £1 over the summer.
There's no need to choose between eating or having a fun day out with the kids. Check out a host of free events and activities taking place over the summer here.
Asda
Kids eat for £1 every day until the end of the year at Asda Café’s with no requirement for adults to spend.
Beefeaters
Two kids under 16 can get breakfast free every day with one paying adult during the summer holidays, served until 10.30am every day.
Bella Italia
Kids eat for £1 with every adult main, Monday to Thursday from 4pm until 6pm.
Bills
Two kids eat free all day from 24th July until 1st September when one adult orders any main dish, weekdays only.
Brewers Fayre
Two kids get a free breakfast at any Brewers Fayre restaurant with one full paying adult.
Café Rouge
Kids eat free from 17th July – 10th September when an adult chooses a main meal.
Dobbies
Garden Centres are offering one free meal with any adult main costing £9 or more. Not available in Little Dobbies stores.
Dunelm
Kids get one mini main, two snacks and a drink free in their Pausa Coffee shops with every £4 spent after 3pm.
English Heritage
English Heritage members can have free kids meals at all sites this summer. Running until 31st August, members spending £10 or more in the café will receive up to two free children’s lunch bags.
Hungry Horse
Running until 3rd September, families of four can eat for just £15.
Ikea
Kids eat from 95p daily from 11am, not available at collection points or at Ikea Hammersmith.
Marks and Spencer
Kids eat free from 24th July until 1st September in stores across England and Wales.
Morrisons
Kids eat free all day every day with an adult main meal costing £4.49 or more.
Premier Inn
Two kids eat breakfast for free when one adult buys a full breakfast. Breakfast is served from 6.30am – 10.30am on weekdays and from 7am – 11am during weekends and bank holidays.
Prezzo
Paying adults can get a free three course meal for children under 12. Valid at most restaurants, check when ordering.
Real Greek
Kids eat free on Sundays at London branches when an adult spends £10 or more.
Sainsbury’s
Kids eat free at Sainsbury’s Cafés with the purchase of an adult main meal coasting £5.20 or more, available from 11.30 am daily until 3rd September, after this date, kids eat for £1.
Tesco
Kids eat free in Tesco cafés when an adult spends as little as 60p and scans their clubcard. Starting 24th July and finishing 1st September across England and Wales, Scotland runs until 11th August and Northern Ireland until 1st September.
TGI Friday
Free kids’ meal with every adult meal over the summer. Just sign up to the TGI Fridays rewards system via the free app.
Travelodge
Two children eat breakfast for free when one adult buys a full priced breakfast. Served every morning from 7am-10am weekdays and between 8am and 11am weekends and bank holidays.
Yo Sushi
Kids eat free with every £10 adult spend from 17th July until 11th August.
